The Forest Park South Avondale Business and REV Birmingham are proud to present the 2nd Annual Movies at Avondale Park, a free family night out. The events will be held on Tuesdays in June and will be open to the public. Avondale Park has become the center of the Forest Park South Avondale Neighborhood and a hub of activities for families since it reopened two years ago. Last year’s movie series brought more than 2000 visitors to the park.
“There has been tremendous growth and change to the area since the park reopened and we want Birmingham to rediscover this historic neighborhood and all it has to offer,” said Marco Morosini owner of Silvertron Café and President of the Business Association. “We are excited for the opportunity to bring families back to explore and enjoy Avondale Park and the surrounding neighborhood.”
The movie lineup for 2013 will include Up on June 4th, Princess Bride on June 11th, and ET on June 18th. Show times are at 8:15pm. The amphitheater willopen for seating at 7pm.
