Birmingham Lights

Birmingham Lights are a series of artistic LED lighting installations in the historic train underpasses at 14th, 18th, 19th and 20th Streets in downtown Birmingham. REV Birmingham completed the project in 2013 and 2014 with funding from the Community Foundation of Greater Birmingham’s Community Catalyst Fund donors. The installations are designed to encourage daytime and nighttime pedestrian traffic in the underpasses that connect the emerging Parkside District with areas of new development in downtown’s north side.

In 2015, REV announced a new program to fund maintenance of the lights that allows other non-profits and institutions to change the light colors to bring awareness to causes. Click here for more information.
