Birmingham has endured incredible hardship and very violent, dark days throughout our history. It is encouraging to see a community that is working to acknowledge and own these past harms, identify how these disparities are still playing out in our systems and communities, and work together to find healing and create opportunities for the next generations of Birminghamians. There are endless possibilities to continue to build a Birmingham we can be proud of.
