Fifteen Birmingham organizations have officially partnered to have your back, small business owners. Introducing Rebound Bham, a group effort focused on small business support that highlights partners’ passion for mom-and-pop shops and the people behind them, by creating workshops and resources for local business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs to weather the storm of COVID-19.
The organizers are dedicated to supporting small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs in rebounding from this pandemic and reconnecting with their dreams. Through virtual workshops, social media events, coaching sessions and resources, the team will help small business owners achieve skillset milestones to retain, sustain and expand their business through 2020.
An online kick-off event Thursday, July 23 will introduce participants to the Rebound Bham team members and provide insight into the upcoming virtual workshops.
The content and resources will cover many topics within the categories of financial empowerment, sales & marketing, and leadership & operations. Workshops will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting with Crafting an Authentic Brand Story on Tuesday, July 28. Business owners and starters can see more details and register for events below.

Since autumn of 2021, Woodlawn Marketplace has stood tall in its place at 5530 1st Ave S. Originally planned as a month-long mini market experience featuring seasoned Woodlawn Street Market vendors, the project was met with such a positive reception that the REV team decided to press on and launch a larger, more permanent version. In the months following that decision, the space has undergone a transformation, evolving into a local retail incubator and café. Now, the heart and soul of the marketplace is supporting local businesses and building community in the historic Woodlawn business district.
